Ingredients

  • 200 gr sugar
  • 200 gr butter
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 eggs
  • 200 gr self-raising flour
  • 40 gr cocoa powder
  • 40 gr sugar
  • 75 ml milk
  • 100 gr dark chocolate, finely chopped


Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 160°C (320°F).
  • In a bowl, combine the sugar, butter, vanilla extract, and salt, and mix until creamy, for at least 5 minutes. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Finally, fold in the self-raising flour, cocoa powder, sugar, and milk until just combined. Gently fold in the chopped chocolate.
  • Grease a cake tin and dust it with a light layer of flour, then pour the batter into the tin.
  • Bake the cake for about 60 to 75 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
