Clotted cream

Clotted cream is a rich and indulgent delicacy that has been enjoyed in the UK for centuries. It has a silky smooth texture and a slightly nutty flavor that makes it the perfect accompaniment to scones, cakes, and other sweet treats. Making clotted cream at home is surprisingly easy, and with just a few simple ingredients, you can create this luxurious spread in your own kitchen. So why not give it a try and discover the deliciousness of homemade clotted cream for yourself?

This recipe is not authentic, but it's quick and easy to make. I choose to make it this way for convenience and to save time. While it may not be the traditional version, it still tastes delicious and is perfect for a busy day. So, give it a try and enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 75 gr crème fraiche (sour cream can be used as a substitute)
  • 60 gr mascarpone

Instructions

  • Take two bowls and whisk the crème fraîche in one bowl and do the same for the mascarpone in the other bowl.
  • Combine the mascarpone and crème fraîche and gently fold together using a spatula.
  • It is important not to overmix the crème fraîche and mascarpone mixture, otherwise it will become too thin and not have the desired consistency.
  • Store the cream in a sealed container in the refrigerator. It will remain fresh for a few days.
